| Arrived in Holland on Sunday the 12th of October. We
are on our way.
Monday lunch time and we were heading to Freyr and our first appointment
with some limestone. We stopped at the Supermarket in Dinant to stock
up on some food and had a picnic adjacent to the River Meuse.
The crag was easy to find and warm and sunny. We wandered down from the
viewpoint to see what the crag was like before finding our spot for the
night. The climbing area is owned by the Belgium Mountaineering club and
as members of the BMC we were allowed to climb and camp for free. There
was a refuge with toilets and water and we could even pick up Radio 4
on long-wave and visit the café over the road for a drink in the
evening, what more did we need?
The next day we went climbing in the sunshine and mostly had the crag
to ourselves. We ambled up some routes, the only problem being the steep
walk out at the end of the day.
Wednesday morning and we were on the move again this time towards Luxembourg.
